Personally prefer Calde to Bruno. Bruno flatters to deceive, okay going forward but can't defend and gives the ball away in dangerous places IMO

Lets not get carried away, we have seen Ulloa once in the cup, Bridge only on loan, many players not proven above championship level.
Its a fantastic Championship team though. Future is bright.

Doubt it. Gus obviously changed his mind last minute. BBC teletext says on page 6 of its transfer deadline day moves: Brighton have loaned Upson to Stoke?

Ha ! Thats a whole new level of transfer. weve all seen the Zaha and Butland ones where they sign for another club, then get loaned straight back. Well, this is the next step.... Stoke Loan the player to us, and we immediately Loan him back to Stoke. Brilliant! What could possibly go wrong...?

Hmmmmm. Not sure about that. There are players who have not made the grade at Premiership clubs like Orlandi and Hammond. Upson himself has not been a regular in a mid table side. Like you I also doubt Barnes and El-Abd. I was a lot more confident about Bridcutt before I saw him up against Wilshere. Bruno and Lopez should be able to step up but not every overseas player makes it.

It is good, the best we have seen for a long time - but competitive in the top division ?
