Goldstone was before my time, and while i appreciate why i should not go there and why i absolutely f***ing wish to kill those who i hate those who killed it off, i can stand on the car park, feeling anger, but not necessarily sadness. Because to feel sadness you have to have experienced the ground. Which is something i never did. My age doesn't make me a bad fan... i hope!

EDIT: To make this not a binfest, i'll add D'Urso and Luton because that Wasn't a sending off, and our second half performance a man down was more worthy of a place in the final, than their whole 120 minutes.

It may a bit much to say hate - but Gary Bailey for falling over and saving Gordon Smith's shot in '83. It could all have been so different...well probably not but we can cling to the thought

Bit harsh really, can't exactly hate someone for doing their job against us in an important game.

How can anyone have left out Melanie Cutress?

Okay, so as chair of Falmer Parish Council, she may have felt obliged to oppose our lovely new stadium. But she chose to make it a very personal crusade indeed, sinking to any depths to cheat us out of a new home.

But just how solid were her personal credentials? Was she, and was her departed spouse, the late Tom Carr, descended from untold generations of Olde Sussex yeomen, steeped in the ancient traditions of trugs, and twittens and the songs of Bob Copper?

No, they were bloody NORTHERNERS! It's as if you or I moved up to Liverpool and started a movement to deny generations of passionate scousers the replacement for Anfield. Unbelievable.
