Absolutely. We went quiet when we were 2-0 down, but after half time normal service was renewed, shivers down the spine from the volume of singing.

And, if it hadn't been for a clockwork lino whose arm was being steadily bunged cash from the Southend lot, we might have nicked a goal and got back in the game.

I thought it was going to be a rout after the second goal went in, they were SO all over us. But the way we turned things around in the second half was a credit to the boys.

Forster ran his socks off, never gave up - shame Murray looked disinterested, though.

One thing - in the first half, we kept falling over, a slip (apart from the defence standing off) leading to their first goal. Were the lads wearing slippers? Did we change footwear for the second half?

.

Glad I ain't the only one who thought they'd watered the pitch and we'd picked the wrong studs or something

Agreed on Forster. Superb leading from the front, doing what Revell always done for us - chase down EVERY single ball. ( good to see Alex get the excellent reception from us he deserved )

Agreed... but I'm not sure how much of the sound actually gets out on to the pitch.

And, how I HATE that loud music before games, in this case right up to kick off

Obviously designed to try and drown us out right up to k.o.

Was hoping and praying that that speaker that took a clout from one of their skied shots was going to drop to the floor and smash into a thousand tiny pieces.

Classic examples last night of quality and shit support last night.

Bloke right in front of me applauding ever effort we made, shouting "heads up" etc. at every mistake and reserving his abuse for the dodgy linesman

Bloke a few rows back shouting abuse at Murray, with the usual "twat" "useless" etc. comments :tosser:

All in all though, quality support with us all singing our hearts out for the lads.

Couldn't really hear you on the radio.

To be fair, we weren't nearly as loud as we can be. And the problem, I found, was that there were two or three sets of singing 'sections', so one would start a song just as another was singing something completely different. Made it a bit interesting at times :)

Great atmosphere...but the Albion away support should be commended for the 5 person strong chorus of 'Drinking pints of Whisky' in the second half.

NOSTALGIA

Did they open up the yellow seating area later as a response to the number of fans paying on the day? Normally the noisy singers congregate at the back behind the goal but last night they were quite far off to the left. It's a shame because it meant the people who were trying to sing on the yellow side were quite distant, plus it was unusual because the noisy Southend fans (on our right) were miles away from the away fans. Have to say though, that lot of Southend fans were some of the noisiest home fans I've heard in ages. The main stand was awful though, I swear they didn't even stir when they got a corner.

the brother sung his heart out last night, so much so, on the way home he said i've a sore throat, ( i hope it was from singing, or giving the useless lino abuse, offside lino) but the albion support was good as usual

Everyone knows the superb away support BHAFC have but I am sorry this thread has an air of smugness about it. I could have gone but its a young mans game, I did a lot of away trips in my teens and twenties/thirties , now at 45 on a school night I prefer to sit at home with a Chinese , some wine and the football on the tele.

Am I allowed to argue, or was that meant to be a joke?

Well allow me to bite. 1000 fans went last night, probably a large percentage of this board. Therefore a thread about the support is completely relevent, and how you can read it as a dig at those who didn't go is beyond me.
