Can I COMMEND Our Away Support Last Night!!

976 of us turned up knowing in reality Saturday's Port Vale performance pretty much ended our season.

Never-the-less, we all sung our hearts out, supported the team, and no Wilkins out nonsense going on.

2-0 down at halftime, the fans could have easily turned on the team, but no, we knew we could try and make a difference, and sung even louder, giving as much encouragement as we possible could for the 1st 20 minutes of the 2nd half.

Its a shame the team couldnt respond with a goal, but its nights like that which make you proud to be an Albion fan :albion2: :clap::clap::albion2:

Spot on. It was a good turn out and the backing in the early part of the second half was superb.

It felt good to be with the other 900 odd last night. 2-0 down, could have been watching the champions league (and probably moaning about it). But no, we were there doing what supporters are supposed to do: loudly supporting, positively, the team that I'm proud to be a fan of.

Immediately after half time was quaility, when we just carried on that song, what was it? Very very loud though.

Everyone knows the superb away support BHAFC have but I am sorry this thread has an air of smugness about it. I could have gone but its a young mans game, I did a lot of away trips in my teens and twenties/thirties , now at 45 on a school night I prefer to sit at home with a Chinese , some wine and the football on the tele.

Absolutely quality support last night too I thought!! Constant singing, lovely stand for acoustics too! Roll on Luton town for more of the same [not on the pitch though I hope!]

Excellent support from the Albion faithful as usual.

I went with a Spurs supporter who wanted to see a "lower league" game, he was rightly impressed with the passion of the support. For a thousand souls to come on a 160 mile round trip on a Tuesday night with the season turning into a damp squib.... Hold your heads up Brighton

Absolutely. We went quiet when we were 2-0 down, but after half time normal service was renewed, shivers down the spine from the volume of singing.

And, if it hadn't been for a clockwork lino whose arm was being steadily bunged cash from the Southend lot, we might have nicked a goal and got back in the game.

I thought it was going to be a rout after the second goal went in, they were SO all over us. But the way we turned things around in the second half was a credit to the boys.

Forster ran his socks off, never gave up - shame Murray looked disinterested, though.

One thing - in the first half, we kept falling over, a slip (apart from the defence standing off) leading to their first goal. Were the lads wearing slippers? Did we change footwear for the second half?

That barrelled roof is tops for atmosphere - apart from the results I always enjoy going there 'coz you can pretty much guarantee we'll do ourselves justice off the pitch.

Can anybody remember ever seeing anything other than a defeat up there? I think I've been 7 times now and can't remember anything other than losses.

Agreed... but I'm not sure how much of the sound actually gets out on to the pitch.

And, how I HATE that loud music before games, in this case right up to kick off

that didnt stop us singing though. The live accoustic singer got a proper booing, and at half time they played Hey Jude and we kept singing it when they turned it off, and got our crowd going properly
