I should add in England they're done it 4 times on HOME soil

Argentina WC 1966
Portugal WC 1966
Spain Euro 1996
Germany Euro 2020
Germany were ranked 12th in 2020 though.

Didn't realise how bad our record is when we're faced with the crunch match against the big teams

WC 1954 lost Uruguay (then Champions)

WC 1962 lost to Brazil

WC 1970 Lost to Brazil

WC 1990 lost to Germany on pens

WC 1998 lost to Argentina

WC 2002 lost to Brazil

Euros 2004 lost to Portugal

WC 2006 lost to Portugal on pens

WC 2010 lost to Germany

Euros WC2012 lost to Italy

On the plus side, we've played France twice in 66 and 82 both times in the group stage, both times we got a result.

Third time lucky?
1970 lost to Germany in the quarter finals

You mean we only get knocked out by the best teams?

f***ing Southgate. I always said he was shit.

It would of been so much better if Wales had knocked us out.
Save the gloating until Saturday, then fill your boots….or make excuses

We have yet to meet a decent team. Beat France, which is doable and I’ll be a Monkee

England 3-0.
France have got half their first team missing.
I hope so but the bucked toothed camel faced Brighton hater will find a way to cack it up , he has absolutely no tactical sense . Imo we are relying on the abilities of the players to carry us , certainly not a man who had a 29.8% win ratio at Boro .

Imagine that! A team relying on the ability of it's players to carry it.

Heaven forfend! 😱

France are the toughest test England will face all tournament for sure. Guaranteed to be an epic encounter even if the result is an epic fail

Don’t panic Mr Mainwaring! judging by the way some of these results are going we have as good a chance of beating the French as anyone. I don’t see any reason why we can’t get through to the final and win it, provided we can win games within 120 minutes.

There will be no shame in going out to France - but he won't get the credit for getting us to the point where we can face them and be in with a real chance.
Yep. He’s a good international manager, semi-final, final. Waltzes through qualifying. Seems a decent fella as well.

Have you considered the possibility of extra time ?

I doubt heaven will forfend anything , the muppet :tosser: on the other hand :shrug:, who knows , does he ?

Lets face it you know what i mean about the players abilities carrying us , their instinct and knowledge of each others game from playing in the prem will be key to our success , certainly not ugly bollocks` tactical nous .

If you genuinely believe Southgate to be anything more than an FA brown nose yes man then you must be palace , i say again 29.8% win rate at Boro over a 3 year period , that`s consistency , consistently SHITE ! .

Yes. And if there had been VAR, we'd have lost (they scored 2 goals which were incorrectly ruled out for offside)
