So what are the chocolate buttons made from in my dogs advent calendar ? (it is a proper dog one)

Aren’t doggie chocolates made from cocoa beans ?

Its the Therrabromine (terrabromine??) thats the poisonous bit to dogs in chocolate. I assume in dog chocs that this is somehow removed?

my dogs love grapes. What's the problem?

they also eat apples, bananas, pears, peas and carrots and love yoghurt

Grapes are apparently poisonous to dogs, which is a shame as our fruit-loving spaniel adores them (but is no longer allowed them). She does love bananas though and I have not heard of any other fruits that are a no-no.

Doggie chocs are carob rather than cocoa. We don't let the dogs near chocolate but our Newf did discover a wrapped-up cholcoate orange and unwrapped it and ate the lot without any ill effects (though he is quite large).

The staffies go mental when there is toast around!
