1. Good enough to play at every level for england upto u18
2. Played 6 games last year and only had 1 poor half against Newcastle.
3. Goal scoring centre midfielder we have lacked as crofts and Hammond can't hit a barn door.
4. Other clubs seem much happier breaking youngsters into their first teams.
Anyone have any ideas what has gone on ( and don't say he's to young)

What's under 18 got to do with the sharp end of the Championship? He's not yet as good as our other players, get over it.

Could be something to do with the Forster bit in his name,Jake should move on he has great potential and is wasting it with us

Could he rebrand himself as Jake Caskey-Poyet?

Wasnt good enough at Oxford so why would he be two leagues higher?

Because if you ever saw him play for Oxford they just played hoof ball and the game just bypassed him, jfc is the sort of player who the higher level you put him in the better he will adapt.if he ain't good enough then why don't we ring up arsenal and see if they still want him, and at least get some money for him?

Could well be another case of a half-decent player from our youth team is bigged up to being the next Messi just because he is a homegrown lad and, surprise surprise, falls short of the ludicrously high expectations some have of him.

See Jake Robinson and the Golden Generation FA Youth Cup side of 2006.

Can't have it crofts and Hammond have done amazing this season. How many goals and assist have they got this season?

Not really the point, Gus doesn't pick them for that reason. Might as well put Bridcutt in there aswell. Point is that Gus believes that he can pick a better 4 or 5 out of Bridcutt, Hammond, Lopez, Crofts, Dicker, Lopez, Orlandi and Vicente when available. The few times we have been short because of injury he's made the bench.

He's the perfect fit alongside Bridcutt but deserved a start for 2 years I feel...... then again I don't get 6 figures to manage a Championship club so

Fair point but none off them were playing for England or being scouted by top prem clubs?

Richard Martin had trials with Everton and Liverpool and I believe was a member of an England under 18 squad. John Sullivan the same. Jake Robinson was constantly linked with bigger and better things before he'd even made his debut. Joe Gatting was clamoured for months before his debut due to his form in the youth team as the man whose goals would keep us in the Championship. Even 18 months ago we had the hottest defender outside the Premier League in Lewis Dunk.

Fans will always big up their own youth team products as they are home grown. A manager, whose job it is to put out a winning side, won't.

Oxford do not play hoof ball. How many games have you seen them play with JFC in the team out of interest?

That's whats wrong with this country on developing players we would rather play players who can run far like Hammond than a player who is good on the ball.
