Well, this is the BBC for you. That institution has been spouting anti-Thatcher Left-wing propaganda for 30 years. And it has been spouting pro-Left propaganda which the gullible youth actually believe.

You talk some tosh HovaGirl, but you seem to be getting more and more outraged. That is such a lot of blinkered bollocks. And it is the youth who are gullible ?

Personally, I think she's much more deserving of such a funeral than Lady Di was.

The problem was, they couldn't reach their productivity targets. The mines were losing money. The State was subsidising them.

There is a difference between unproductive and uneconomic. The productivity levels Heseltine proposed were on the whole met so I'll let you have a read up on that on your own but redundancies within an economy that is on its knees means only one thing......men on the dole. Redundancies within a growing economy sees the culling of certain industries and the growth of others which is perfectly normal and acceptable.

They knew the cost of everything but the value of nothing.

I used to think that she had destroyed industry. But looking back, it was the Unions who destroyed British industry with their over-inflated demands.

At least I can go off to work now with a hearty chuckle........:lol::lol:

Half this country voted for her THREE times. Half the country... Not just a few toffs in London. Yet today you'd struggle to find anyone who'd admit to it now.

Not a fan of hers myself but she was more popular than most modern PM's.

Pork pie land.

Given that hardly anyone over 50, and affected by the issues of that time, either way, will buy singles anyway, it is frankly pathetic. Just like the swampy look-alikes who were on the streets, they know ****-all about what actually went on in those days, and are simply puppets of the socialist scum who are still smarting from the good thrashing she gave them. Either that, or the sex freeks she tried to prevent from poluting our country's young people's minds.

Well, actually she kind of is respopnsible, she shit-canned the only RN ship down there and then ignored intelligence saying an invasion was imminent!

Intelligence told Tony Blair that Saddam had WMD. The truth of any intelligence is only available after the event. GB and Argentina were both peaceful countries at the time and it was possibly difficult to believe that one peaceful country actually would invade another in the late 20th century. Difficult decision to make, but that's what Prime Ministers do, not armchair politicians.

Oh please. Intelligence did not tell him that.
