Let's go back to the winter of 1978-9. That was a fabulous era wasn't it. Great times had by all. Some of society is so fickle and have a distinct loss of memory. So what do they do get a song to number one utter morons.

This whole campaign typifies the ill informed ignorant nature of the opposition to Margaret Thatcher.

For 18 year olds to be openly celebrating her death is incredibly pathetic.

As far as I am concerned the only test of Thatcher was at the ballot box, and in 1979, 1983 and 1987 the British people said yes we like your policies keep doing it.

Brilliant brilliant woman.
Well said young man...pity the present leader does'nt have half of her conviction.

Indeed, and it seems at least some of them have been encouraged to scream anti-Thatcher rants on the streets by Left-wing teachers. How stupid are those teachers when they involve themselves in politics in a public place when they are the very people with daily charge of our young people. If nothing else, it gives the impression that at least some of our teachers are rabid Communist activists. And if some are, then many could be. It is disturbing to wonder just how far our young have been indoctrinated by such teachers, and, indeed, by the BBC. It is not Thatcher herself who was divisive. It was far-left Labour activists who were and continue to be divisive and this is precisely why Labour was continually voted out for 18 years from 1979-1997. Glenda Jackson does her party a disservice as do the holders of all those empty Labour benches in Parliament yesterday. The party seems to be going right back to the 1979-style thinking which made it so unelectable. They and their followers are so stupid that they learn nothing.

Change the record eh? I think we all get it. Thatcher was great. She was a friend to all races and creeds, she loved her population equally and treated all with equity and love.

Just dry up you Tory harridan. The witch is dead. You are boring.

She certainly did this. She despised us all.

Compare Britain from 1979 and 1990.

It was without doubt a better place. Yes some people suffered as a result, but it is not the states responsibility to support loss making businesses.

And one of the great myths about Thatcher was that she cut back costs in the NHS. It's bollocks, In 1990 she was spending more on the NHS than was being spent in 1979, and that is a fact. Even when adjusted for inflation it is considerably more than the labour party were spending on it prior to Thatcher coming to power.

This whole anti Thatcher stuff is totally purile nonsense built up by left wing activists who never lived in the 70's, totally don't understand economics and have some idealistic view that regardless of how hard you work the state owe you a living. Well they don't. If you want to earn a good living, you have to get up off your arse and go out and earn it. It's simple. And Thatcher supported those that did that. Simple.

And in every economic test the country was better off as a result of the Thatcher years.

Chuffing hell. Do you actually believe this shit? I'm inclined to say not, as you offer a slightly different opinion every post you make. Are you really arguing that Thatcher is not divisive? Really?! Some of our teachers may be 'rabid Communists'? You reckon? And the BBC is indoctrinating people too?!

And Labour are going back to pre-1979 style thinking are they? Mainly because not all of them turned up to a debate about Thatcher?! What nonsense - they're a Thatcherite party now. That's Thatcher's legacy right there.

For pity sake, see some reason. Some people disagree with you. Some people do things that you personally might find distasteful. All the accusations you throw around are misguided and pathetic.

Couldn't give a sh*t if someone wants to organise a campaign to get a song to No1 to celebrate Maggies death. P*ssing in the wind if you ask me, but if it means that much to some people, go ahead. I appreciate the pro v anti Maggie arguments (pro myself to be honest), so if it makes the anti's happy and they want spend cash doing it, good for them.
