Calling someone a cu*t without them knowing it...

Spun Cuppa

Thanks Greens :(
Having worked in skilled manual trades, and construction/earthmoving, there was always a way of really insulting a colleague or superior, but without them knowing it. Whether by double entendre or allusory language, there were loads of them flying about years ago, but I can't remember any (probably because I was on the end of them :lolol: )

Any top exponents of the subtle art on here with examples ???

When I worked at Leamington Spa in BR days we had two supervisors.

One was called the Olympic Flame as he never went out of the office and the other one Stocking Tops as they were the nearest thing to a ****.

You know, I read this and didn't believe it - not something I've ever heard (the meaning, not the word), but I've checked and it's absolutely right. Blimey.

I used to call a work colleague Bliss. He assumed it was because he was always cheerful.
