We watched the Newcastle game in Bunters in Truro and were planning to go there Sunday, too.

If I and The Grub change our names to CornishhhSeagulls and cornish!seagulls, would we be welcome in Perranporth to join the flock? ???

Wouldn't wan't to confuse anyone by having the wrong name!

By the way, are any of you lot one of the two other seagulls who were in Bunters for the Newcastle game?

will try and get there

Hi, am travelling to Newquay (Pentire hotel) on sunday morning with partner, baby % mum & dad. Already agreed that dad & I will be sloping off to have a couple of pints and watch the game. Do you know how long it will take to get to the watering hole from where we're staying. Is the game definitely being shown in the pub and are there any large screens?

Cheers

Gary

My misses is genuine Cornish (Redruth born, family all wreckers! - makes the best pasties in the World mind!!!), her mother owns a bungalow in Goonhavern - howver I have converted her to the joys of BHA (all the Cornish folk I know all seem to support Plymouth, I know it is the nearest League side, but it is in Devon!!!!). I must remember the Watering Hole the next time we are down when the Albion are on the box.

You "Cornish Seagulls" surfing dudes then? Fab part of the World to live in, have the locals accepted you?

According to Google maps, it's 8.5 miles from your hotel to the Watering Hole and will take you 22 minutes.

I haven't been to the pub yet, but they have a website here: The Watering Hole Perranporth, Cornwall. The UK's ONLY Bar on the Beach! on which it claims they have a 63" 3D TV! It doesn't appear to be very up to date, though.......

Perhaps the OP can give us some sort of comfort that the game will definitely be on.
