Why wasn't he selected tonight?

Calderon was out on his own dribbling a ball around the pitch at 18:30, until warming up (or down) with the rest of the squad before kick off, most strange

listening to Gus' interview right now, when asked if Calderon was injured, or if it was a tactical change, he kind of dodged the question and just said that "there were issues to address..." and that "while Tanno was on the pitch, we were not giving things away..." (paraphrasing here)

Is he pissed off at Calderon?

Dropped is what I understood from Gus' post match interview

Interesting that he wasn't even on the bench. The back four have had a bad few games (Leeds and last night), but not helped by the midfield leaving them exposed. Will be interesting to see who plays on Saturday.

I wonder if the total lack of confidence that Dunk had last night was related to what has happened since Leeds? Calde out of the team and the worst performance yet by Dunk and Painter - not feeling great about myself.

We missed his attacking mentality down the right IMHO. It would have helped keep the on the back foot and kept the midfield area less congested.

Because Gus threw a hissy fit, and that cost us 3 points not the players Gus, he makes the decisions, he needs to realise that he also makes mistakes and he needs to deal with this to learn from them, if he keeps on blaming the players when we lose and taking the credit when we win he will not progress as a manager,(flak coming in i`m dodging it already)His arrogance inthe dying minutes of the leeds game was unbeleivable, why change a winning team with 4 minutes to go.He is also throwing our chairmans money away on a weekly basis by employing 2 keepers that he has no confidence in when Casper is obviously seriously in need of a rest.:albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2::albion2:

Sorry Samej, I've been at work all day and didn't really have the heart to log on much after the final whistle last night, what has actually been reported/what have you heard?

Gus mistake was not dropping Calderon but replacing him with Tarrico who he knew wouldnt last 90 mins.

After dropping Calderon following a girly hissy fit by Gus who should he have played in your expert opinion, tanno was excellent Vincelot was shit

But that meant we only had two subs, cos one was earmarked for Tanno after 60 minutes

I would have played Cook and kept Vincelot as a sub if he wanted to stick with Dicker. Yes Tanno did well but for a limited time which Gus knew as he is 37 years old, what did Vincelot do wrong?

Gus is the best thing to happen to us for years but his arrogance is currently haemorrhageing us points in the league that we frankly cannot afford to lose ,if he cannot see that he is making these mistakes, he will not learn from them.
