Agree that no offence should be takebn because he thought h might get a bette offer, but understand whd why a deadline to sign was made, tho i wouldnt have given a deadline, but once given, it has rto be stood by, or else future contact negotiations will be hamstrung. Its done good luck to Clderon, and fair play Poyet

Calde didn't turn us down. He agreed a contract with us then refused to sign it until he'd spoken to the scummers, which is why Gus withdrew the offer. Gus was offended by this, and you can see why: 6 months ago Calde was a nobody, rejected by various clubs. Gus gave him his break in English footy and offered him a deal when he was injured.
There is NO WAY Gus would have him back now - it would make Gus look weak. There is no offer. He will not be our player next year.
Equally, Gus won't go to the scummers. He's put it on record that he will not jump ship for a team in the same division, no matter how 'big' they think they are.
Chillax everyone, and start looking for a new right back. Any ideas?

Being a regularly at whatever ground we have called home for the last 35 years would suggest otherwise. Poyet has been here less than a year and is unlikely to last another 34 years. We have now lost two of our best players needlessly without suitable replacements because of hissy fits.

I agree with this but not the part about taking him back making Gus look weak. I think the opposite. There is far more strength in forgiveness than there is in obduracy.

The relationship between Calderon and Poyet has broken down, thats it - the end. Exactly the same as Forster, and thats ended too.
Since being here Poyet has made some brave decisions and he pulled us from 21st to a mid-table finish - he's doing well, long may it continue
