There should be a big Calderon flag at The Amex. Or lobby the club to include him on the banner wall type thing outside. More deserving a spot than quite a few on there.

Can we start a campaign to get him voted player of the season, even if Ulloa eclipses him on the pitch ultimately,.... if we had 11 players with an attitude and enthusiasm like him, we would be World Champions by now.

Agree with everyone here - he's a top bloke and quite possibly my fav Albion player ever. My wife goes gooey at just the mention of him, my youngest son has idolised him ever since he first met him...even to the extent now that he wears number 14, plays in defence, scored his first goal last Sunday in his own match - then copied Calde's fist pumping celebration! The bloke is a club legend, for everything he does on the pitch - and off it.

We took a Basque flag down last week with his name across it - he gave my son a wave and a thumbs up with a massive smile after the match when he saw it. Hoping its a lucky charm after the way we came out in the 2nd half v Bolton, so will be taking it every week now!

Wtf?! He thinks Bruno isn't good enough to challenge him? He thinks every other teams' left winger are better and more of a challenge? Jeez, talk about ego...

You need to read this again with your eyes a little wider open .....
You have used the word "better", he uses the word "compete"

He really knows how to neutralise the press questions. The bloke is top quality.

Great player competing for a space with another great player. What a disaster! Oh, how I wish that we didn't have this dilemma! Oh no, hang on...!

They are good friends, Caldy (and Orlandi) helped out with the youngsters' football training last year at the school Bruno's boy goes to. Can't see that happening if they were bitter rivals!

I can see him being a manager himself in the next five years or so,... lets hope he starts as a coach with us, then moves up to the top job.

He will need to get his haircut and smarten himself up a bit first, a nice short back and sides with brylcreem should do the trick, good player but god he is a scruffy git.

I love Calde, he has surpassed Ryan Reynolds on my bromance meter. I think he's fast becoming my favourite player ever to pull on an Albion shirt.

Calderon is amazing. A true BHA icon. To think how different things could've been if he went to Saints, he'd probably be in a similar position to Dean Hammond by now.

Crikey, I had completely forgotten about that little fiasco. I was LIVID with him when he was looking at going.

Now I think the guy is amazing. He goes completely against the stereotype of modern day overpaid players. For every collumn inch of bad press 'that' court case got last year, this should get the same as an example of the good some footballers do

I've given it some thought, and i think i'd be more than happy to bear his children.

Mrs Grombleton loves him too - she's not that great at remembering the faces of players (she's only been to about 10 games) but she recognises him straight away. She thinks he looks like a pirate.

I bought his t-shirt for Spanish Day and we won handsomely. Not only a true gent, but one helluva a lucky charm too. He has totally woven himself into the fabric of this club in the last few years in a way that no-one else has managed to achieve. Absolutely delighted that he is in the form of his career at the moment too, legend.

But that's why us girlies love him. We like blokes with the slightly unkempt look y'know.

Damn how did you see through it?
Was it the capitals, I knew it was too greater step for a trainee troll. I don't think I'm cut out for this.

I thought it would be nice to see how it looked from the other side.
Calde quoted, we ALL swoon, say we hope he never leaves the club, by which time the next quote comes along, it's pretty repetitive, and not very football forum.

The bloke should have had a hatTRICK on Saturday.

Can't think of a more universally popular player even when he wasnt doing too well on the pitch last season.
If he took half the chances he gets he would be far and away our top scorer this season. Maybe he needs to stay back after training and practice shooting (with his eyes open!) instead of doing all that community work :lolol:
