Why is it OK for the shape to change but not the ingredients? You couldn't have a Cadbury's Creme Egg with no Creme, so which buffoon have the go-ahead to the no-egg-shaped fiasco?

I think this basically boils down to a STORAGE issue. Far easier to store bar shaped eggs than, err, egg shaped eggs.

Get your selfs down to Roberts of London fish & chip shop in Worthing and try a battered creme egg.
