Subbing Butters made sense,at his age he is not at his best in the last 15/20 mins, this was good management, bringing on Bas was another plus.
It must be frustrating to be pulled from a match when you're losing, and then you've got no chance of personally redeeming the situation in any way, that day.
The ultimate bummer for a professional, I would have thought.
phew! thought you were going to contradict yourself then!
Yep, I'll go along with that. There are some of our players who look like they're going through the motions a lot of the time. I've got no problems with anyone kicking the dugout when we're 1-0 down if it shows there's a bit of passion to win there.
I'm not a fan of Butters but I can't say that he doesn't try. The problem with him being on the pitch is that we have to play too deep to compensate for his lack of pace. A lot of goals are scored when other defenders are pulled out of position covering for him................That cannot be a case for bringing Butters straight back. He will need to earn that right in training this week.
What was all that about? when Butters got subbed, he kicked the bench and started to cry, bit embarrassing for an old man........
Butters playing = losing
Butters subbed = winning
So you don't approve of players showing a bit of passion and frustration then?
if it had been leon knight doing that he would heve been chastised
