I'm reading this thread and the general vibe is that it's nothing much like the glossy ads on telly.

i live 10 mins away from bognor butlins. Went with a mate last summer for free, we had an ok day, but once you've done the pool your done. everything else is pretty poor. The bowls court (yes that is how far we had to resort to have some fun!) was unbelievable on one bowl the ball jumped 3 inches in the air on seem. Everythking else you have to pay for.

If its really cheap its worth it but remember that you'll have to spend a bit in there esp. to entertain the kids.

Oh and everyone there has a tatoo or a broken arm, not saying anything is wrong with that but.....

Should have had a go at the french bowls there, much more fun.

The ads are pretty much promoting the hotel which is at Bognor, which someone who has stayed in says is absolutely fantastic, but costs much more than the already expensive chalets.

I would say that if you have kids it will be a great holiday for them, and there will be some entertainment for adults, mostly during the evenings. But it has changed alot since i used to go. for example they have got rid of the Snooker hall and Table tennis tables and have moved them into a busy area next to the outdoor pool. They seem to be more about making money now as the pool hall used to be free for all guests. Luckily my sister got abit older and we haven't been there for 5 or 6 years now.
