A tough one.

1. I really want an away trip to Craven Cottage next year (and not in the Championship or Cup before any smart Alans pick me up on that!).

2. I really don't like Burnley's usual anti-football tactics and a minority of their 'white lives matter' fans.

3. It will be fantastic for the Premier League to see an escape act from one of the bottom 3, Fulham are most likely to catch Newcastle.

4. We're far to good to worry about relegation.

If we knew that we were going to be safe whatever happened, and that the last relegation place was going to be between Newcastle, Palace, Burnley and Fulham, then obviously we'd want Fulham to stay up too so that we can enjoy a day or evening out at Craven Cottage next season. But right know, our safety is all that matters, and with Fulham playing Sheffield United next, it's got to be a draw or Burnley win. And I think Burnley are far more likely to do a job on Fulham than Everton were. Even without Ben Mee, Dyche will have them fired up.

I'm weighing up the same stuff, but I do also look at the Albion's quest for survival in the FOLLOWING season. We want as many teams in the mix that we can compete with, or better, as possible.

Villa not going down last season was shit, because they've spunked a fortune and are now out of the relegation conversation. Newcastle seem the most likely of this year's candidates, to kick on in the same way.

Assuming Sheffield United and West Brom take two spots, then Palace is the dream for the third, but failing that, Newcastle, on the above logic.

Burnley are a side we can finish above. Next year (and every other year) they'll remain a side we can finish above - so on that basis, don't mind them staying up.

I'd love to know what Big Sam actually thinks about WBA's chances of staying up. Surely he must

I'm quite calm about this one. I can see a positive in any outcome. The next couple of weeks will be fascinating.

I'd rather Burnley win on Saturday to beat WBA. Possibley also Fulham to beat Sheff Utd too. Those results would put the willies right up Newcastle and the wankpuffins (provided we beat the wankpuffins). The following Sunday the wankpuffins entertain Fulham. We might get more than one point from a bottom three team the day before.

The long game eh?

Well ...

i'm looking at Leeds losing Bielsa and doing what Sheff U and Hudds before them did in their second season
I'm looking at Burnley losing Dyche and the Americans not flashing the cash as promised
I'm looking at Southampton losing Ings and being a side like us who play well but can't score again

But more i'm looking at the financial gap between the Championship and PL ever increasing and starting to think (sadly) that at least 2 promoted teams being relegated might become the norm. It could be 3

I am leaning this way. Just for now I'd like to see the bottom three still languish until we have picked up some more points, so Burnley win for me this eve. Although you could easily put a good spin on a Fulham win and it should be Newcastle that have the greater cause to worry about it.

We are on a good run at the moment but whilst we can be optimistic let's be realistic. It is best if Fulham lose and let's see if we can outpoint the Burnley's, the Newcastle's and the Palace's for the rest of the season. We do not need Fulham's help, let them stay where they are !!

Im confident enough in how we are playing that I would want a Fulham win. Newcastle are in freefall and if Zaha is not back and firing soon Palace will join them. If we carry on getting points the last relegation place will be between Burnley, Fulham, Palace and Newcastle.
