[I’m not watching the game] that’s interesting, as Kompany I thought was insistent on playing ManC-esque football principles.

Funny how a desire for chiseling points, going by your observation, has changed Kompany’s ethos.
I think he means that both styles seem to be screwing us atm. They were definitely out passing us first 15-20 mins.

unsure if you have understood my post correctly, or if i have misunderstood yours, but i wasn’t referring to how burnley are playing with the ‘low block’ part. much like luton did, which we didnt really deal with well. i was expressing frustration that our games seem to alternate between one week, a team just has too much energy for us, and the next, we’re playing a low block which we just can’t break down

I have to watch a lot of football. Currently there's very few teams in the league who look as clueless and tentative as us. That isn't just about injuries. We've gone from one of the best drilled teams to one that looks like the players have never even met.
True, that. Consequence of endless rotation, much of which has nowt to do with injuries

f***s me off beyond belief how we’re playing at the moment. absolutely nothing seems to come together. we start well with purpose and energy and we’re met with a low block we can’t break down. we don’t and we’re massacred from all angles. either way it’s shite
Burnley aren’t playing a low block at the moment and we have to take that advantage - it’s a really open ended game - they have come out attacking. We can’t afford not to convert these early chances though - if Burnley score first they almost certainly will sit back and yes, that will be our undoing 🙁

Pedro looks like he’s tweaked something which could come back and bite us - will we even make it to the end of the season with a full senior squad to compete with … 🤕

Time for a new coach?
No.
But something isn't right.
It isn't just injuries- these players have played a lot together.
We are now in this mid ground of struggling both against better footballing teams and teams that low block. We seem so tentative. Bullied. Out fought.
Things that we simply weren't under RDZ last season. I know we are missing key players but it's a squad game so it's a big worry.
Edit. If it's literally all about Mitoma we are f***ed. You can't rely on one player, especially as a team who sells their best players.
