As this is against the only team to finish below us last season, this game against the northern monkeys is a MUST WIN GAME, 2-0 to the good guys

Burnley have gone 93 games without a red card ?

One of my eyebrows slid up when I read that.

An exciting 2-1 win and lots of reasons for optimism, followed by pundits saying we're not missing White and our strikers are out to prove the doubters wrong.

As dirty a team as they seem, they know when to stop and their rotational fouling system is second to none. It helps of course that Dyche puts constant pressure on the officials. Great if it’s your own manager, irritating when it’s the opposition manager.

Indeed. Like Man City, they are the master-nigglers....just enough of a foul to stop play and block any potential breaks, but never quite enough to earn a red or two yellows. Mee and Tarkowski are also two of the best blockers in the game - they hardly bother tackling, they just stay on their feet and constantly get in the way. The fact that all our forwards seem to want about 9 minutes to tee up a shot rarely bodes well against those two. They had me tearing my hair out in the last home game.

We will lose because of the full house home bounce all teams will have for a few weeks. Burnley will play like demons in front of a full Turf moor and we will lose 2-0.

It would not have been ideal if he was suspended looking at this lot:

Welbeck - Injured
Zeqiri - Preferred at left wing back
Connolly - Been at Shoosh all night
Andone - See Potter’s Argus comments
Locadia - Only just resumed training
Tau - On his way out
Ali-J - Gone

Amy chance of signing Muzza on a short term contract?
