What’s the verdict? I missed the second half thought we looked ok at half time.

We were abysmal second half, could barely string 3 passes together. Hence why nearly everyone is pleased with a point.

I reckon Burnley will be gutted with that. They're not going to have a better chance to go above us again all season. Meanwhile we got a point despite not playing very well at a notoriously tough ground, despite probably being totally shattered. Keeps them at arms length and below us in the table. Very good point imo

Next home games., Let's no count our proverbial chickens just yet. ???

Burnley: Away @ Palace
Burnley: Home to Fulham

Brighton: Home to Villa

Not a good game or performance but a point is ok. Very disappointed with a few individual performances today, Gross and Bissouma were poor for pretty much 90 minutes and Welbeck spent 30 minutes on the pitch hiding, expect more from someone with his experience.

Hopefully Webster is ok, starting to looking a bit thin in defense.

I agree that many players didn't perform today, though imo Welbeck didn't hide though. Like I mentioned earlier he makes great off the ball runs to create space or drag the defenders....... or makes runs wanting to be picked out. When he does get picked out is pretty clinical in front of goal.

I just think he just needs a run of games, bringing him on 3/4 of the way though a game against Burnley isn't going to do much for us.

Happy with that. Didn’t play well throughout and frankly ran out of steam second half. Fought hard to keep a point. They’ll feel hard done by but think we just about earned it.
Dunk, White, Webster, Veltman & Sanchez all good. Midfield not so much. I thought MacAllister was too isolated. Needed Trossard as a foil. The keeper MOM for me says a lot.
Impressed how we slowed it down and regained some control when Lallana came on.
We don’t score enough but we do at least have different ways of scoring. We are moving forward

Some comments on here seem unfair on Burnley. They were very dynamic for most of the second half and showed ideas and variation. They had good running and clever balls from midfield, causing us far more problems than Liverpool and Spurs did. Yes, they are a tough and sometimes dirty side, but then so were we when we got promoted and fought for our lives for a couple of years. We looked very tired in the second half for obvious reasons. Lallana did well to relieve the pressure when he came on. Both Gross and Bis looked shot, but worked as hard as they were able to help the team. A great, commanding performance from Sanchez and Dunky looked in his element. It was an enjoyable, closely fought match that showed our lot capable of digging in and striving when things aren't going their way. Earlier in the season we would probably have crumpled under that pressure. I hope Webster is okay. He's becoming essential this year, and all our other centre backs seem to be busy covering for other injuries.

The recent success with Sanchez kicking long, played into their hands in the second half.
We only reverted back to keeping it on the floor for the last 15 and immediately reduced their threat.

Good point. Burnley really wanted it, against our clearly mentally and physically tired side... and we denied them.

Terrible game though. Burnley are a horrible side to watch and play against. Really hope they somehow get relegated so we don't have to play them again next season (nothing against their fans, just the horrible football).

No real outstanding performers for us... except the entire team who took a battering, with little protection from the ref. At least one injury today unfortunately.

Sanchez did really well again for most of it, although at times demonstrated why he is not yet up the level of Casillas. This is the game where he was involved the most, and he handled it very well imo.

Dunk was solid. Burn was decent. White was probably MOM for me.

Their fans are amongst the most disgusting, homophobic fans I've ever encountered.Revolting, neanderthal club epitomised by their manager.

Have to say, horrible shit hole of place, snidey elbowy team and a **** of a manager. The only good thing about them is their wonderful and lovely fans weren’t in attendance.

This. People moan about Potter chopping and changing personnel but today many of our players looked absolutely knackered. Maybe Potter should have rested a couple of players today.

At least we know what will happen Wednesday, lots and lots of changes.

Everyone seems in unison here for once. It wasn’t a great performance but understandable with injuries and what we’ve put in recently - and Burnley are ***** - so it’s a good point...!

An NSC first!?!?!!
