Most unusual ... although I guess they're not expecting it to sell out to the usual tier 1/2 groups.

This will genuinely struggle to sell. I can see why they've done that TBH.

The 'Europe Points Gatherers' won't be interested. I love a long away and have done a few this season but it's a bridge too far for me too. Spending more money I don't have and more time away from wife, daughter and dog to go there simply ain't gonna happen*. I suspect many will take the same view.

*it's also Brownie Points for when we want to do a weekend in Newcastle

Yep, totally understand that. I'll go, although that's partly down to me knowing a couple of Burnley STHs and they've suggested meeting up for a drink before the game. They suggested the pub opposite the ground without thinking it's a home only pub :ROFLMAO: So we'll need to look elsewhere if we do manage to meet up.

EDIT: Actually, if it was the Park View they were talking about, it looks like it might be OK for home and away fans

Tier 3 for the last few games has been 220 and 221. Looks like they've opened it up to Tiers 1,2 & 3 at the same time. Sound logic - Anyone who wants a ticket for this will get one.

Was going to stay over but need to be at home Sunday morning. Might go up on Friday instead to split the drive - a Friday night out in Burnley ? :moo: ???

No Europe points gatherers, trains already extortionate. A ground that a lot of people would've ticked off. Hardest one to sell in the league all season.

A long way to go for 1-1.

I dunno about it being unattractive to the committed points harvester. I'm looking at it as worth 7.5 points for next season's European away matches. Which we'll totally be getting. Might mean I can swerve a tedious 5-point trip to London in September and still stay ahead of the tier 2 pack.

And the trains, while slower and much more expensive than the Frecciarossa, are at least running that weekend.
