We'll see...I'm not sure you've done much thinking at all. What makes you think we'd even be offered £8m?

I have also seen a player in demand elsewhere.... a player that wants to move further north, a player who has looked a little jaded in the last few months... and not because he is knackered either.Absolute madness. Where will he go to exactly? Burnley interest is gone, Aston Villa? The side 20 points behind us in a race to the division he wants to play in?
I've seen enough of us this season, last season and the season before to know the difference Stephens makes to how we function as a 442.
It's like some people want us to **** it up again.
Bozza would have to set up a weekly direct debit, as they're unlikely to pay the full asking price up front. You should charge Burnley fans rent on here during transfer windows
Fighting talk. Wanna bet?We'll see...
I'd imagine he's happy to stay for the rest of this season and if we get promoted sign a new deal, if not he'll leave in the summer most likely.
I think the club are okay for this to be the case as well.

It seems so wrong for a Brighton fan to write that without it be weighed down by sarcasm and irony.Stephens is our best midfielder it's as simple as that. Both our defeats came with him not being in the team. We simply cannot let him go and i'm confident we won't
He is a key player... never said he wasn't, but he is not signing a contract, he is doing enough to keep his profile up, but I don't think he is as dynamic as he was... I think he wants out.Quite a few of our players are in demand elsewhere.
The same rumour that has been circulating before he moved 70 miles south to Brighton.
Been watching a different player to me then. I've been watching Dale Stephens, the one putting his foot in and throwing his weight around all over the pitch. Are you suggesting that CH has not noticed this lack of effort either, or that he deems the player so crucial that he plays him regardless?

Only Hughton would know if we could let him go or not. With Kayal returning we also have Sidwell, Norwwod and Towell so we seem well covered for his departure if it came to it. Even Rosenior could probably do a job in midfield so we have five options without Stephens.
If we did sell him it would be for the right reasons and it wouldn't break our season.
Mr Pedant...... we'll seeSo not jaded...but less dyanamic? Hmm...nope still cant see that
It was a sentence for August - well, early September anyway. It seems so wrong for a Brighton fan to write that without it be weighed down by sarcasm and irony.
That's a sentence for August, not January.

We don't want players who ca 'do a job'.
We want to keep our best players and get promoted.
The money Bloom would get for Stephens is peanuts compared to promotion.
Stephens out, Lampard in is my reckoning.

Not so much of an issue with King Kayal back.Lampard would be ok for 20 mins but wouldnt offer as much over 90 mins as Dale Stephens does.
