i know its naughty to do but does anyone know how to burn a dvd onto another blank dvd disk?

i have a dvd re-writer on my laptop and have been attempting this for a while but to no avail-seems like the dvd's are encrypted with something that prevents you from loading them onto your hard drive therefore making it impossible to then burn onto disk....

is special software needed to get passed this or is it possible another way-anyone know?

So if a friend of mine downloaded a film using bit torrent or what ever ..How would he write the said film to a dvd so it will play on a normal dvd player?

ie what format etc?

That would probably be an MPEG or AVI file which would require Nero to burn.

Used to use shrink but takes ages if you just want a %100 true backup copy.

Find a copy of DVD Ghost removes all DVD and Regional protection

Obtain Nero 6 plus DVD plugin or 7

add Nero to Ghost

Then use the DVD copy button on Nero therfore no need to create VOD files on the hard drive.

Copying a feature film and all extras will take about 30 mins using a P4 and plenty of free memory.

all programs needed can be found on the net (try " the pirate bay")
