Call me paranoid but if that tackle had come from a Brighton player a yellow at a minimum and no Albion player would have got away with four other bad tackles before they got booked. Big club ref...again

Massively today......
Very poor refereeing performance.

Seen James given mom on BBC and whoscored but appeared to me a thug who should have got 4 yellow cards.

He had a good game. Looks solid defensively and is a threat going forward. The challenge on Burn was robust but not malicious- perhaps it warranted a yellow card.

No way was it a yellow card. Just an unfortunate accident

Big club ref is the exact thought I had all game, only took him 80 minutes to realise he has cards. Awful performance. Some said letting the game flow, but wheres the consistency?

Couldn't wait to book Dunk for a nothing challenge (was it even a foul?), when their players had been making similar ones multiple times. At the very least, James should have been booked earlier for persistent fouling. Pathetic ref.

I thought Dunk was fouled by Abraham before the incident too. As you say given what had gone before it was yet another case of a big team ref favouring the big team.

James challenge was robust and could've got a book but no problem for me that he didnt. Dunk am afraid deserved a yellow in my opinion. Ieven said to my lad before the card came out his pocket. 'Dunk will get booked for that'. That said Chelsea did get away with a few tough tackles.

Burn has time to mend properly, Bernardos performance today would have been pushing him for his spot anyway.

Hardly. Dan Burn has been one of our biggest success stories this season, (if one of the most uinexpected, at 6 ' 7" he has to be the tallest left back in the league!). He has done mofe than enough to make that position his own.

Yes Bernardo did well when he came on, but it was little more than a cameo role for part of the second half.

I thought in the summer that we needed a new Leftback and rightback and was concerned when we didn't sign either. However Burn has been excellent all season and done just a great job covering at Leftback, hopefully between Bong, Alzate & March they can help cover any requirements we may have. In Bernardo we have a superb player and no rash decision needs to be made to sign a replacement for just 2 months
