Buon Appertito to close their 2 restaurants in Brighton but I noticed a lot of building rubble outside the one in Burgess Hill recently and assume that it has had a refurb. One of my favorite Italian restaurants locally.

I can't believe that is the correct spelling. FFS. :lolol:

Edit, it isn't. It's Buon Appetito

I just looked it up using my Omsung Phine

I used to visit the Palmeira Square branch, only stopping when I changed jobs.

Good food, a great value daytime menu and the owner was a good bloke.

Is he staying in the restaurant business?

I think that the writing is on the wall when they start accepting Groupon, it sparks of desperation for business.

They have expanded into the next door shop unit so it is a considerably larger restaurant now!

Really surprised, the Palmera square restaurant was always packed whenever I popped in for lunch . I guess the landlord has put the rent up even more. Greedy sods.

I liked it a lot but sadly not enough to drive to Burgess Hill.

Italian food is cheap to make grinds me paying over the top for it. Don’t really like it anyway Mrs does though sadly.

Not really, decent ingredients and a good chef can make Italian dishes incredible.i like buon appetito, but when you eat at, for example , Cin Cin it's clearly a cut above and the price is understandable.
