BUGGER, why couldn't they wait ONE more day

There are 8 of us getting the train for the Saints game. Southern Trains were offering all 8 tickets for only £40 in total - a fiver each.

Went to get it yesterday, but realised I didn't have my wallet with me. So left it to today to book.

The offer was web-based only, and you needed to book 7 days in advance.


Went to book it this morning, but can you believe it that as from today, they have changed their conditions saying it needs to be booked FOURTEEN days in advance instead of 7, meaning it's now too late to get them.

Standard returns are £19.30

For f*** sake. After having this offer for years, why change it TODAY!!!

Typical, maybe (if you can prove the original offer) you should try threantening them with the Trades Discription Act.

I've just read through the terms and conditions, and have spotted this:

Southern DaySave is only available online and must be purchased a minimum of 7 days before travel. During public holidays tickets can only be purchased 14 days in advance.

Sigh.

do this, When you get to the station on the day with all your mates, ask for "4 for 2" tickets to Southampton, hey presto, you all go for half price!
