Yes true, although I still think there are different types of progression career-wise. If you work as JP Morgan as Finance Director for example and get the opportunity to go to Apple for the same role, that's still career progression. It would however also be career progression from go from FD at JP to Chief Operating Officer at Monzo.Maybe its just me, but Rosenior had a step up in role from U23s coach to an assistant manager which I can't begrudge, where as Bruno just took the exact same role, not furthering his career. Much like when Nathan went from Assistant to Luton Manager, where as I (and most I seem to remember) were pretty bitter about Calderwood moving to Villa in the same division, not furthering his career.
Obviously, I know football is waaaaaaaaaay more emotive than finance, but for those coaches it's still about progressing their career, no?
