Roz - I 'm so sorry to hear about your fall. I hope the orthopaedic team in Albion ward realise that you're a VIP and look after you well. xxx

Get well Soon Roz

I hope the Albion Ward is as comfortable as can be, and nothing like th East terreace at the Goldstone or you'll need some 14 hole Doc martins to keep the legs in shape

Lord B very sorry to hear the news about Roz. Do hope the op and recovery go well although as others are saying broken ankles are a so and so. Did mine 42 years ago and it still flipping hurts.
As long as Roz is fit when the Falmer approval comes through so she can nip round to Falmer to take some snaps of the happy smiling villagers........;)

Latest bulletin ...

Roz is still at the RSCH - although she's now been transferred out of Albion Ward. She had surgery on Monday afternoon and pins and screws are now holding her ankle together.

All in all, she's reasonably comfortable. The general view seems to be that it is a good thing that the ankle that's been broken is the one that she's been having trouble with for the last couple of years.

Roz is likely to be kept in for at least another couple of days and the physiotherapist is planning to introduce her to crutches tomorrow.

The luxury of a room of her own has now given way to the rather more depressing experience of sharing a ward with other people.

I've printed out this thread and she's read it, much heartened by the cheery messages. She loves you all.

Did anyone know that today is National Falls Awareness Day ?

You mean she's still a virgin?

Now that's what you call "personal service".

Sorry to hear of you mishap roz. i have also got 2 pins holding the bottom of my ankle together, after breaking it playing football. it was some experiance staying awake (epidural) whilst they did the HOP on me. but i was back playing football again 3 months later. and only missed 3 games at the end of that season, i was ready and rearing to play again on the next opening day of the season.
hope all goes well and im sure you will be running around again in no time.
