If you know anyone with 2 or more standing ticket get them to round up all the tickets once in the standing area, come back out and get you into the standing as well. They don't take the tickets off you when you go into the standing area like some venus so it's not hard to get in downstairs.

Clapham North to Brixton Academy, with two decent pubs highlighted.

Falcon is better than the Landor by a long way, but slightly further away.

You can't miss the Falcon, turned right out the station, and it's the yellow pub just round the corner.

Don't be put off by the slightly scruffy Landor Road, the pub is fine.

Much better than trying to find a decent pub in Brixton, or having a beer at Victoria in my opinion.

The Falcon is FINE evening out on a Saturday night. Well, it always was when we used to go several years back now.

Got a bit trendy and went all bottled beer and no bitter. Usually full of trendy London tossers.

I'm glad to report that it's got over that and is now one of the best pubs in the area again.

Also in the area and a bit of a hidden gem because of where it it, is the The Circle on Stockwell Road.

Again within walking distance of the Academy if you know the way.

Cheap thai food, a little garden and live bands once a month.

It's my pub of choice at the moment.
