Britney loses custody of her kids

Now I couldn't care two hoots about her really but I can't help wondering if this could be the last straw for her. Someone better keep a good eye on her or she could be another Marilyn Monroe-type statistic.

"A court has ordered pop singer Britney Spears to give up custody of her two children effective Wednesday at noon. Her former husband, Kevin Federline, is to retain custody of the two children "until further order of the court," according to court papers."

that is really sad for those two boys. it is a shame britney has isolated herself so badly and has no one left in her life to haul her feet back down on the ground.

kfed is not a whole lot better. less of two evils i suppose.

Britney has been demonstrating so many signs of mental illness that it wouldn't be safe to leave the kids with her. I must admit I feel sorry for her - this whole 'celebrity' thing is out of control.

indeed. and two babies in a year like that is hard on anyone. it is a shame that because of both her actions and the cvhoices of those family and friends around her that she didnt have anyone around to help her out and get her the help, support, treatment or whatever for the post natal depresion or whatever it is that has led to this.

i remember when they split up and kfed was the poster child for "deadbeat dad" and now he is the best hope for those boys? pretty sad all around.

I blame the parents. Britney's parents. Poor girl has no concept of normality. She was pushed onto The Mickey Mouse Club aged about three and a half or something and has been living in la-la land every since.

I agree with THPP. Pushy parents living their dream through their child. Coupled with agents pushing her to make big bucks and pursued by the pap mercilessly for the last 6 years or so has pushed her over the edge.

The only real losers are the children.

Yes, I do feel sorry for the kids, but would the world give a f*** if a mother lost the custody of her children if she wasnt a celebrity? NO!! WHY SHOULD BRITNEY f***ing SPEARS BE SO f***ing SPECIAL!!!

It's just like the Paris Hilton thingy with her going to prision, why would anyone seriously give a f***.

I just seriously gets on my nerves that celebrities just take over the news when more important things are happening in the world, such as the Burmese Protests.

To be fair, the Burmese story is probably the biggest news item at the moment in the serious media, you probably have to go for a red top newspaper to read about Brittney on the front page...pictures of monks being beaten or floating dead in a stream (10PM news on the Beeb last night) don't really do much to attract readers to the gutter press.
