Very good point,Cloughie.
England managed to win a World Cup at Rugby which is identical to what our football team have achieved. Not sure rugby or cricket are full of the middle classes any more? I have seen 1st hand selection policy at England trials at under 16 rugby and it was definitley a matter of how good you were, absolutely nothing to do with your school or background
Shame your so shit at.....rugby.... then.
It was over 10 years ago now, but a couple of school mates used to play cricket for sussex at youth level and they both told me that you couldn't get a game if you didn't go to public school. One of them just gave up cricket and the other got himself a scholarship at Ardingly to give himself a chance, but still didn't make it.
I think attitudes are different up north, but down here it cirtainly matters what school you go to.
And England ought to have won the WC by now, seeing as we have twice as many registered players as any other nation.England managed to win a World Cup at Rugby which is identical to what our football team have achieved. Not just British tennis.
ALL tennis.
Let's not forget we weren't playing our best players. Andy Murray would have pissed on the lithuanians and if he could play doubles with his brother then we would be so far down the Davis Cup leagues.
