I assume you mean his written/typed English, I totally agree it is phenomenal, which leads me to believe he’s not who he says he is!
I have no reason to believe that he is anything other than what he says.

He certainly is Swedish, no question.

His English is also phenomenal, don’t mind the guy at all, not that I read much of his stuff.

Swedes do speak good English in general; something like 80% of the nation are speakers.

See above. English is almost the National language in Sweden. I work for an office in Gothenburg; all fluent.

think we can agree there to some degree, point is i dont think the horse come in to play until there is already escalation. you think they come out to stir up the crowd. i wonder if you feel the same about their use with the "football" thugs out for a ruck.

Sure, I believe there had been escalation, on both sides. But I don't agree the use of mounted officers was necessary nor proportionate.

As for the potential use against 'football thugs',on principal I would say no, I would not agree with the use of mounted officers being deployed. However, the difference in context here is important so I think the comparison is a false equivalency. The U.K. BLM protests have been, for the most part, peaceful and about protecting basic human rights. From what I've seen of Saturday, it was far right groups spoiling for a fight using the guise of 'protecting statues'. I am however unsure of how attacking journalists, picnic and park goers, doing Nazi salutes and singing "we are the racists", is protecting statues personally

I have no doubt his spoken English is fluent, I’m just impressed how good he’s able to put it in written form.

Wish I was able to do that.

Same here, regarding my German.

I know a few Swedes, Danes and Finns who speak and write better English than most of us.

I just found it a bit odd that a Swedish Swansea fan hit the ground running so hard on a Brighton forum... That wouldn't bother me unduly when someone spoke sense but he's proved himself to be a bit of a loose cannon - and that just isn't cricket old boy. :glare:

Ah well. NSC.... it's like one big nursery, and now and again one of the kids shits itself and has to go get cleaned up. :hilton:

We have 2 daughters in the police force and in demos my view is give 1 warning to move back and stop throwing things etc Then if my 2 are on duty feel free to use everything possible to protect the police. Fair warning then full force and as long as my two are safe tough on any protester who has disobeyed instructions. Only when it starts getting heavy though.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I can understand most of what you post.

No alternative. I dont like law and order.

Tbf I've never met a UK police officer but I imagine they cant be much different from police elsewhere though I cant be 100% certain of that. Power-hungry people who like a bit of violence and protecting the corrupt, ugly power from rage of the people. Dirty. I've met a few good ones though, hence the "in general".

I'd take care of it or fail to take care of it and I believe that in a world without police and a monopoly on violence, people would be more eager to help eachother in a situation like that.

You really are a ****.

I think you'll find quite a few cops are posters on here, none of whom give two hoots about what Swansman has to say, so please don't let your rationale for banning him be because he has or might upset posters who are current or ex-cops.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
The British Police are the best in the world
I don't believe one of these stories I've heard
'Bout them raiding our pubs for no reason at all
Lining the customers up by the wall
Picking out people and knocking them down
Resisting arrest as they're kicked on the ground
Searching their houses and calling them queer
I don't believe that sort of thing happens here

Brighton police death crash: Officer cleared of misconduct

AN OFFICER involved in a crash which left a pensioner dead has been cleared of gross misconduct.

PC Richard Harris was accused of driving too fast while responding to a 999 emergency.

His patrol vehicle struck 79-year-old David Ormesher in Edward Street,*Brighton*leaving the pensioner dead in August 2017.

Now, after nearly three years of investigation into his conduct, PC Harris has been cleared.

In tears this week he told a disciplinary hearing that he thinks about the crash every day.

The scene in Edward Street after the crash

Sussex Police Federation chairman Matt Webb agreed with the view that the treatment of the officer has been “disgusting”.

He has called for more protection for frontline officers acting on emergency duties.

Inspector Webb said: “As a society, we must give police officers the support required when they carry out these roles, even if the worst sadly happens.

“Police officers have no issue with being held accountable for their actions – we are the most accountable of public services. And it is only right that following a tragic death the circumstances are fully examined.

“But how can it be just or justified to have a police officer’s life put on hold for so long?”

He said the case should not have been investigated as gross misconduct and said there should be time limits in place. He praised PC Harris’s professionalism and dignity.

The case was referred to the IOPC who handed over a file to the Crown Prosection Service to review. But the CPS decided no charge should be brought against PC Harris.

Mr Ormesher’s family asked for a review of the decision, but the CPS stood by its decision.

Flowers were left in tribute to Mr Ormesher

This week Sussex Police held a four-day hearing into the officer’s conduct, alleging the frontline officer had been driving too fast.

But Insp Webb said: “We note the findings today in the hearing against PC Richard Harris. Our thoughts remain with the family of David Ormesher, who sadly lost his life as a result of the tragic accident in August 2017.

“Our colleague PC Harris can now finally get on with his career, having been investigated over this incident for the past three years. It’s no exaggeration to say that this ordeal has had a significant impact on him.

The crash scene in Edward Street, Brighton

“At this hearing, PC Samantha Cooper, who was a passenger in the police car that night, said PC Harris had been treated ‘appallingly’ throughout the criminal and subsequent disciplinary investigations and labelled his treatment ‘disgusting’. We fully concur.”
