I've always thought this, but mental toughness is bred through the management. I think this is why Terry Venebals did quite well from England and also why Alex Fergurson has done well for UTD.

I think top managers assemble top players - both in mental and physical senses -

Easier for Fergie than Wilkins though because of budgets.

What we should ask ourselves though ........... has the manager acheived all he can with the budget and set-up he has been given. Applies in all spheres of life not just sport.
