I like voting.

I like voting in good people and bad people. But I love voting out bad people.

Can’t do that with sausage fingers and baldy.

Can’t imagine why anyone thinks this is a modern, progressive, multicultural or democratic way to do things.
Best not think about. Best just to practice your forelock-tugging and accept that some people born into a specific family by cosmic happenstance are just better than us.

Yesterday I had to go into the RSCH A&E department , the back bit taking ambulance intake , the corridors were full of people in trolleys, chairs and improvised bedding. Unfortunately nothing unusual based on other visits but timely reminder that all the time we have that I see no reason why any individual should have multi billions of wealth. I totally agree that just throwing money at NHS will not solve the problem but looking at the young staff working under such terrible conditions then think about how the last government screwed them over pay.

So, one of the headline stats is that an NHS trust is being charged £11 m to store their ambulances on his land for 15 years. I totally agree it's not a good look for the Monarch but if the NHS could find anywhere cheaper surely they would have done so (unless they are completely incompetent), in which case it must represent market value.
There was more information on this particular arrangement in the times. At the time the Duchy put out a press release saying it had “granted” the hospital trust a red-brick 1980s warehouse close to Tower Bridge. “We are delighted to be able to help and support the trust’s ambition to upgrade to an all-electric fleet,” Adrian Bayliss, the duchy’s commercial manager, said.

The press release from the duchy doesn't exactly give the impression that they were in an open competition with other providers and were receiving a market value commercial rent from the arrangement does it? It gives the impression that the Duchy is doing them a favour 'granting' them access to the facility and helping and supporting them.

The fact is that nothing could be further from the truth, the rate charged is apparently 67% more than they were charging the Metroplitan police for using the same warehouse previously and includes a 2.5% yearly uplift. Even if this is at market value, and it was procured under an open and competitive process, we shouldn't ignore the fact that if this was a agreement with a normal company a percentage of the fee would also be returned to the government through taxation. There can be no rationale for the Duchy behaving like a normal commercial organisation and paying no corporation or capital gains tax like their competitors have to.

What else do you expect from people who are happy to blast away at game birds and hunt foxes etc but then sit on/head of animal protection committees. How can we have a levelled up society when we have entitled people controlling it.

Prince Philip once visited India with the sole purpose of shooting a tiger which they literally dragged out of a cage for him to do so.

He was honorary president of the WWF at the time.

Would be nice to have them as a tourist attraction.

Take all the stolen money and the stolen land and the stolen property back and pay them minimum wage to dress up in all the clobber and have tourists parade past them and gawp.

They can clock out at the end of their zero hours shift and get the bus back to their rented flat in East Croydon.

Sounds absurd, doesn’t it.

It’s a reality for millions of people.

No problem with a monarchy but 100% of the net income they generate should go to the tax man. Trouble us that the money wouldn’t end up where it’s needed most.

That's how tax avoidance is justified,

And even if the money reached the poor, they would just waste it on drink, cigarettes and scratch cards.

It baffles me that people still defend them.
We have a lot of weirdos in this country.

Look at the state of those people that camp outside of the private hospital when one of the RF have a baby. I can’t fathom why they think this is a sane thing to do.

I like the royal family. That said, I miss The Queen.
