Surely letting her return would ultimately put her at jeopardy as all the press will be camped outside wherever she is put and then the lynch mobs would be after her.

Probably safer for her to remain where she is.

They will probably set the lynch mobs on her sister, Eee Begum-Thanose

Her having her citizenship revoked was always a cheap, populist approach to portray the illusion of strength but, as usual, only ended up causing problems further down the line.

The fact is she's a British citizen and committed crimes against the state. To me, we should take responsibility for this and she should be tried in this country and sentenced as appropriate.

We can't just wash our hands of someone who as a minimum will require careful monitoring for decades to come as although she was young when it happened is obvious quite susceptible.

She was 15 FFS. I know 40 and 50-somethings who still aren't fully matured (most of them sadly on here). Seriously though, if it was your 15 year old daughter, niece, whatever, you wouldn’t be saying that.

Let's go to the bear pit and chat about this like adults.....

If you believe in this.....

Yes, no sympathy or empathy from me.....

This, for me.

I am not condoning her actions, but she should be allowed to face the full force of the law in this country and has the right to a fair trial. Let the law decide what punishment she faces.

This is one of the signs that Sky News are bored. Trotting out this non-story as if it's something everyone should care about. This is the kind of fake news which stirs up the gammons and divides opinions for the sake of division. There's absolutely no journalistic integrity in the story, and absolutely no reason at all to report on it at all.

Good news, she had the right to come back, now confirmed. Then a proper charge with due process, as it should be.

It may be the right thing to do, but it hardly constitutes good news. Good news is not an automatic result of doing the right thing; sometimes it is the opposite.

I think it is good news one one level. No government should be allowed to unilaterally revoke someone's citizenship and make someone "stateless" in my opinion so, in making this decision, it's held the government (which has a tendency to make things up as it suits) to account.

OK, we'll have to cordially differ (in a strictly non-Bear Pit way!). For me it maybe the right thing to do, but not good news that we have to do it.

I agree that our opinions differ and happily accept and respect your position.

I think she’d have quite an interesting story to tell. Of course, a fitting punishment should be administered but her story could well educate others. Even if that story is told from behind bars.
I for one would be willing to hear it.

I don't really think this is an appropriate image for this website. Or any other for that matter

Ok, let's not look at the horrors that she did (possibly still does) believe infidels deserve this, lets blank out the innocent lives lots to stupid religious bigotry. I think it is highly relevant, and if you don't that is your opinion, no better or more valid than mine....

The horrors of religious ideology should never be forgotten or airbrushed from our memories. They are sick and disgusting, everytime i see images like that I remember how sick, stupid and pointless it all is. Sometimes people are just bad, not all them can be understood or helped with therapy and, trying to understanding where they came from at the point in time.....

If you see that image at any age and think, yeah that's right, he deserved that, I can believe in a cause that will do that to another human. To me you ARE BEYOND HELP REASONING & UNDERSTANDING, oh they were young is a lame excuse, that they will cling to as a defence, that we give them to attempt to understand where they come from, when it is pointless....

just my thoughts, i am no expert, just a human, who could not buy into or understand why...
