Apologies for another 'nosey' thread but I would like to know:

1) What your accent is
2) Your favourite accent
3) Your most hated accent
4) What you think is the most least intelligible accent

Fairly standard 'home counties' accent

Welsh accent. The guy I sometimes cyber with has a silky gentle lilt

Birmingham accent. It just sounds too laid back for me

Used to be Glaswegian until I became friends with one

Favourite: Young Dutch kids (sounds cute)
Most hated: Dutch adults.(sounds like a throat disease)
Worst accent: Czechs with American English.
Unintelligble: Geordie, but only with some of them.

1 - Sussex I guess

2 - Kiwi. It's not a particularly nice accent, but it's hilarious when I hear someone with a thick Kiwi accent.

3 - Northern Irish. It just sounds so harsh and unpleasant.

4 - Probably Geordie. I used to work for a Geordie in a pub, when he spoke it was just a noise.

1 My accent is South West Surrey/Hampshire Borders.
2Fave accent 10 miles West of Newcastle in the Consett,Burnopfield ,Leadgate area a lot harsher than Geordie.


3Hated accent the fake mockney that has eroded the local accent in Farnham.
4 Bulgarian they always sound so rude .

4. I find Swansea/Bridgend/Port Talbot area difficult to understand sometimes, they just speak so quickly.

2) Your favourite accent - never really thought of this. I like the way Australians always sound as if they are asking a question

3) Your most hated accent - Really over the top posh where everything is enunciated so much to perfection that it no longer sounds correct. Must also include a slight put on posh lisp

4) What you think is the most least intelligible accent - Some Germans speaking English can be horrible (I can;t stand the woman on Top Gear just because of the accent). Also, the Dudlayyyy accent
