Likewise I'm not looking for a fight but when someone comes on here and effectively says people don;t understand the dispute but I'm not telling you why, you can't seriously think you're not going to get challenged on it ?

I fully understand what the union claim the dispute is about but don't agree that they have a case. Your point number 2 is interesting, have they really closed the door on new BA workers joining Unite ? I knew Unite were a shower of shite but that takes the biscuit. Or are you saying BA won't allow new crew to join Unite as part of their contract ? If that's the case I thought that was illegal ( apart from in a very few protected areas such as the armed forces ).

Fair enough Westdene, when you put it like that, I can't really argue. "You are all wrong but I am not saying why" LOL.

Yes correct in point 2. New crew are not allowed to join union. PM sent shortly

BA staff will drive their customers to other airlines by their threat of Strikes, they are ignoring the fact that we have a choice, generally they have better conditions than staff on other airlines.
I am not sure that Willie Walsh is directly dealing with this situation, in January he became CEO of International Airlines Group formed by the merger of BA & Iberia Airways.

Indeed. He was dealing with it. However now he has taken his new role, he has said he is available to assist whenever required, but is not now the main man involved with supposed negotiations.

I withdraw my previous offer of sending me a PM. Apologies to anyone who sent me one. Have realised that I need to keep my mouth shut. Carry on with the strike bashing.

If people object so strongly to the Cabin Crew holding BA to ransom the answer is simple, book with another airline and soon the unions, cabin crew and the management will start serious talking.
