The Northern Irish accent is properly irritating, SO IT IS. So too is Scouse.
But for characterless charmless accents, you can't really beat Mancunian. If accents could be a day of the year, then Mancunian is a grey, drizzly, 11 degrees C, depressingly shite summer's day. Which is quite appropriate really, seeing as that is what it's like in Manchester most of the time.
I quite like the South Welsh accent personally, and birds always seem extra fit when they've got just a slight twang of Geordie about them.
