Why would you gamble on the outcome of the vote by the british public? They chose Steve Brookstein and Leon over Rydian

Not sure what to make of Susan Boyle. She's either not taking the limelight very well, or is becoming arrogant

I'd imagine having learning difficulties and brain damage at birth has a lot to do with it. Living in a council house on benefits for years and then suddenly becoming suddenly extremely famous worldwide probably had an effect too.

First time I've really watched this programme and that dance group that won were simply amazing, although probably helped generally by an increased interest in dance post the success of the reinvention of come dancing.

The best performers won, but the woman from Scotland will make more money - simply on the basis that it's easier to shift CDs than market a dance group. Funnily enough although she is much older, I suspect she'll have a longer shelf life.

True enough. Where does a dance group go from here? Not really possible to release a CD. Maybe they'll release a DVD of their greatest routines but would YOU buy it?

A dance group that go on to perform at events such as Breakin' Convention, release instructional DVDs, teach kids, be in pop and hip-hop videos etc.

Aidan could also enter the UK B-Boy Championships in the popping category and maybe Just Deboute in France, which features popping and locking battles.

But still won't make as much money as the woman from Scotland. Which is a shame really, because they are very very talented.

The lead dancer is already a teacher and I'd think he has a long career ahead of him doing that. But evidently you don't make as much money out of being a dancer than being able to knock out a few West End show tunes.

By all accounts the Susan Boyle Story is going to be made into a film.

There was only one winner in this competition, and yes they were from Scotland.

Step forward, Kay Oresanya

True enough.... there isn't that much money in dance, which is why the media fell out of love with breakdancing after 1984. They tried selling instructional videos, pop records by dancers, and toys that did a move, but generally there wasn't much money to be made....

Many of the great pioneers of hip-hop dance, from the 1970s and 1980s, are still living in poverty.
