Am I being mr grumpy pants but I watched it last night and am watching tonight's show and it is absolute shite , these shows have now been flogged to death and the well of talent seems very dry

I thought that the Jack Carroll was absolutely brilliant and will become a well known comedian. Disregarding his age and disability he really has got talent and deserves to do well.

I blame the judges that put the acts through every night you get 2/3 novelty acts that if I were at a pontins holiday camp in the 70s I might have found funny or entertaining

Seeing how hard they have to work to get gigs t and the time they put in practising, travelling, setting up etc it does make me cross to see those expecting instant success on X factor etc.

Britain has plenty of talent it just doesn't appear on shit reality shows.

It's not a "reality show" though is it ? Nothing Simon Cowell does is.

..and neither would I argue is I'm a Celebrity.

One is a talent show the other a game show (with an incidental reality element). Both formats have been running for years.

Before Susan Boyle there was Lena Zavoroni.

I not defending either, but "reality" has become a catch all term for trash tv.

The talent shows in the 70s and 80s had equally rubbish contestants too. Nothing has changed.
