This seems too sensible to be a Crodo thread. wtf is going on?

The nominations for Best Hip-Hop are absolutely putrid for what it’s worth. An absolute farce of a list. Stormzy had guest features in 2024 and Dave didn’t release anything. Little Simz released a 14 minute EP and one or two more singles.

It wasn’t an amazing year but f*ck me it wasn’t so bad that Dave should be nominated for physically existing.

And Ezra Collective released their first album 6 years ago, won the MOBO and Mercury in 2022 and 2033 respectively ….hardly a new act.

Being a Crodo thread, I am absolutely convinced half of the artists listed in the opening post must be made up

To be fair, any one of the 5 best album nominations is worthy. I'd personally like to see The Cure win it, to further cement Robert Smith as a national treasure.

These "I've never heard of half these artists up for Brit Awards" threads are getting earlier every year.

:lolol:

Regardless of the subject matter, I would rather smash my own jaw on a concrete bollard than sit through ANY of those tedious backslapping ceremonies.

Annual staff awards
The Oscars
The Globes
The Brits
Manager of the season
Player of the Season
The Baftas
Ballon D'or
SPOTY

...and any others you care to mention. All absolute DEATH. Pointless, boring, unnecessary dreck. I don't care who is nominated. I don't care who wins. Just stay away from my life.
