According to local news there have been extra police at Gatwick checking all flights for convicted football hooligans.

One arrested flying to Spain (and was then going to try to get into Portugal)

Will more then likely be fine with your shirt on, most hoolgans dont wear colours, at least when they are traveling anyway.

No we're going through the Chunnel at 10.08 and returning at 20.00 That's £39

We could have had £29 return Hoverspeed Dover to Calais or £49 Newhaven to Dieppe.

Have a look at www.ferrysavers.com for details

A mate I play football with is a reformed Bristol Rovers hoolie (now chaplain at a young offenders place!) and he still sees some of his old pals and he thinks there is a lot of organised travelling going on for people causing trouble. Just like thge police are planning well, so are they.

Talking to him about his past is ubelievable - trying to understand the mindset of these people is really hard, he struggles to understand why he did it.

The problem still arises that when hoolies get arrested abroad, no-one ever prosecutes them. They just get thrown out the respective country. He says that they just used to buy one way tickets because they knew the country they were going to get arrested in would pay for them to get out the country!

scum of the earth, but at least your mate has seen the light. Still they should lock them up and throw away the keys and tell those bloody civil liberties groups to join them in the cells if they think it is too harsh and then see why we want to throw away the keys.
