Have to say it was a long way for me to go and use my free ticket tonight, and after the result I'm glad I didn't waste the petrol money and gave it away to a non-season ticket holder! What's everyone's views? What's been said on Harty's phone in? Were we awful or unlucky? Or will it be more of "we're getting better, it's only 5 games (now) gone" line being trotted out?

you are pretty much correct Trigger. the 1st was after a good save by Kuipers after Cullip ( who looked very poor again tonight ) left the centre forward free 6 yards out which was parried by kuipers to dan harding who instead of conceeding a corner tried to control it on his knee. This of course failed and we conceeded the goal. Can't remember too much about the 2nd goal but would say that the only 2 chances they created all game were created by us. We should and could have had at least 4. Currie was unlucky with a curling effort that would have put us 2-0 up after Butters did his usual bullet header whilst facing our goal. :lolol: Molango side footed wide when it was easier to score. knight looked to have earned us a penalty and had a few reasonable efforts. I personally think Currie although he is about as quick as Butters was hitting some very good balls into the danger area and was my M.O.M. At least he has proved what most people have said in that he is a good 2nd Division footballer :lolol:

Hinsh in the middle doesnt work butters isn't good enough for div 1 and harding needs to rediscover his form as he was poor tonight. Would of been nice to see harty come on. But it was obvious we wernt gonna win the cup so it gives us one less fixture and can help us focus on staying up.

One other thing is i stayed positive throughout that game and tried to support the team and then when we lost and i was on my way home i let the things that where annoying me out, but theres so many dickheads that go to withdean and moan and groan at every poor pass. Why don't they sing up or shut up they dont help the situation by getting on the teams back. thats why i love to go to away games cause the atmosphere is good. I mean i have never heard withdean singing after a defeat however well we played but when i went to reading we still where singing at the final whistle despite the result. I know tonight was poor but the people sitting behind me where constantly bitching rather than trying to get behind the team. The excuse that all the noise escapes cause theres no roof is true to an extent but when the fans make no noise it doesnt make a difference.

Roll on preston we can get something out of them.

Could not agree more. When harding slipped over with the ball in the 2nd half everyone around me was maoning about it being a schoolboy error which really pissed me off. How can slipping over be a schoolboy error. everyone does it. do they want him to have 10 inch studs or something to stop it happening. It can not help the youngsters when people keep having a go at them. they are young and thus are still learing and the only way they can do that is through their own mistakes. The last thing they need is for everyone to get on their backs

We played well for 20 mins which to me was the only time Harding was playing well everything in this time was coming from him.

Once the equalizer went in it was a different team. Harding's confidence went (along with the rest of the team) probably with the exception of Currie who had a good game (the only plus from the night). I'm not sure however if even he's doen enough to prove that he will hack it week in week out in the championship, but I hope he can take some of this confidence into his game on Saturday vs. PNE.

I think we'll bounce back at the weekend....Come on you super seagulls!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
