History shows we have played rovers 3 times before on the 26th sept.

In 1931 we beat then 2-0 at the Goldstone but 5 years later the score was avenged in a 2-0 defeat at Bristol.

Games against rovers have usually been eventful but, on this day, in 1970 I saw a dour 0-0 draw. This was Albions 4th home game under new manager Pat Saward and it was 3 draws & 1 defeat with goals of just 2-3.

Interestingly, Rovers were 3rd in the table (behind Fulham & Villa) and Albion were 15th, so pretty much the same as today.
