But as for emailing the club Richie, are you seriously expecting Martin Perry to reply along the lines of:
"Dear Richie,
Thank you for your petition. In order not to disappoint NSC I shall be delighted to arrange for a random and quite possibly illegal discharge of fireworks at Withdean. I can also confirm that, even as I write, Dick Knight has gone to the Pound Shop in North Street to get the supplies in. If you could confirm Mr Rocket Man's precise location we can arrange to have a consignment of Category IV fireworks delivered to him.
Yours etc...."
Or did you genuinely think that Rocket Man's much missed contribution was laid on by the club?
Richie Morris said:No Roz I know that Rocketman was not layed on by the club, but perhaps if the fans show how much the great man is missed, they might find him a safe position from which to launch them, i.e the bank to the left of the South Stand.

Since Rocketman disappeared, the Fireworks Act 2003 has come into force and new regulations and a licensing system apply to public fireworks displays. What you are suggesting falls well within the scope of the new Act.Richie Morris said:No Roz I know that Rocketman was not layed on by the club, but perhaps if the fans show how much the great man is missed, they might find him a safe position from which to launch them, i.e the bank to the left of the South Stand.

The play-offs will happen in the next two or three weeks. There is no way that the Club can sort their way through the system to get a licensed public firework display organised in the time available.
It's a nightmare sorting out the effect that the new legislation will have on the traditional public displays that take place throughout Sussex between September and November - I can't imagine that BHAFC could sort it in a few days.
Rocketman, of course, was an anarchist. If he came to life again, he'd no doubt be a criminal anarchist - but only if he stayed hidden in the woods. I'm all in favour of purposeful criminal anarchy. I just doubt whether it can be channeled easily into the official activities of a football club.
