Surely now is the time to bring back Jake (assuming the first 28 days are up that is!).

Scored again tonight, and with Glen and Nicky both unfit surely we shouldn't be letting someone else benefit from him when we are crying out for a player with his energy, enthusiasm and love for the club.

Even to just have him on the bench and coming on for 15 minutes must be worth it.

Saturday's game was a classic example of where I looked at the bench and thought what have we got, and wished we had had Jake for that last half hour to inject some energy and run at a tired defence.

Surely we would be mad not to bring him back?? What is there to lose?

Another thing Adams completely f***ed up.

He only gave Jake ONE start this season, and that was in the JPT. Even more criminal when you think how bad we have been this season. He deserved his chance this season under Adams, never got it and now he is banging goals in for another team.

Nice one Micky

Please God no:

1)He has been consistently shit for us for too long.
2)Aldershot are in league two.
3)He is a cocky prick who thinks he's better than he is. Not the kind of characters we need in a relegation battle. Leon Knight's been 'banging them in' virtually everywhere he's been since he left us. Shall we bring him back too?

What has gone has gone. In fairness to the club when Jake went to Aldershot we appeared to suddenly have a lot of strikers. However since then Forster has come back and got injured again, ditto Glen. Also Carole has flattered to decieve again, and Davies whilst a trier does nothing special. We therefore look more like needing Jake than before. I also think Slade may get more out of him than Adams did as he is the sort of manager to give young players confidence as Wilkins did. Cox is certainly more lively under Slade.

If you don't rate him as a player then that's fair enough, but why make shit up?

Point 3) confirms you don't know what you're talking about. Anyone who knows anything about both players will tell you Knight and Jake are two very different characters.

Same difference. I'm sure Robinson is a nice enough bloke, but I always get this feeling about him being a bit of a prick. He's clearly ridden the 'young player with talent' train for far too long, and needs to start growing up on the football pitch.

Tries to take on one too many players, delays getting crosses into the box until it's too late, attempts too many long shots instead of playing team mates in and his finishing has generally been woeful in the past few years.

This game probably works for him in league two, with ageing or inexperienced defenders, but hasn't cut it for us for too long.

He & Cox are the only two of our players who ever attempt anything from outside the box so its unfair to criticise him for doing that...
And its all very well saying his finishing has been woeful but how can a player get his scoring boots on having not played for 10 games you cant expect a striker just to be thrown into a team and to score goals straight away even you should realise that

Scored tonight, abiut an hour ago, how long is your "while"

Has scored 3 so far I think, hardly banging them in is it. How many chances do you want to give him. He has been in and around the first team squad for 5 years and has scored approx 13 in 130 appearances ( i know lots of these were as sub).

No Manager has wanted him as first choice. Are they all wrong? What makes you think he will come back now and suddenly be superb when all the evidence points to the complete opposite.

I'm glad he has settled at Aldershot, but one to release in the summer.

Tbh, if we bring jake back it really could go either way. He has the potential- you'd have to be a fuckwit to say he doesn't. If slade could get him motivated and he scores on a return for us, he could go on a run till the end of the season and get 10 goals. If he comes back, has a torrid time and some idiots of our "fans" get on his back, then thats his albion career over. At least he still possibly has a future with us if he continues to play well for Aldershot.
