Has anyone else noticed the vast increase in foxes in and around Brighton since the ban come into place? I saw 3 of the little beggars on the way to work today, along Queens Park Road. How long before little childrens pet rabbits are being mauled all over their gardens?

Bring back the hunts and get these foxes out.

Do you reckon i should send this to the argus?

Yes oh yes oh yes oh yes. And don't forget to mention the way that the foxes are decimating the seagull population now as well....

Suggest that we have XR3i Fox Hunting for Urban Areas.....

Whats are weapons of choice then? Im going to go for the good old fashioned bow and arrow as i belive it may be hard to catch up with a fox and club it to death. Also that Elm Grove can really take it out of you.

Depends on how sporting you want it. a .50 cal mounted on the top of a Freelander could be interesting, but collateral damage might be expensive. Flame throwers are good, but again, collateral is a bit over the top. Shotguns? You need to be too close, and keeping up with a running fox could be difficult. Personally, I would use a nice .303 Lee Enfield - accurate and pretty final.

Then again, lots of gin traps and lead-weighted clubs would make it up close and personal.

An Aden cannon mounted on a Land Rover would be nice, but I too would go for the .303.

Close quarters .... a 9 iron

No, we have special napalm for Palace fans. Not the pro stuff, because that's officially a WMD and a banned chemical weapon (unless the US want to use it, then it's a weapon of suppression) - the homemade stuff instead.

I'm glad I spent so long in the military - it taught me loads of things that I will never, ever, have a use for again. And teaching primary school children how to make IEDs is not something that I can envisage taking place!

Foxes are certainly more evident in Brighton as far as I'm concerned, but I think that the increase in wheelie bins is more relevant. Less bin liners on the street rip open = less food, and therefore they are getting more hungry and bold.

A fox got one of our pet rabbits at about 5pm two evenings ago. RIP Thierry Henrabbit  - poor Bobby Zabunny doesn't know what to do with herself.

I watched a fox hunt in cornwall on Boxing Day, f*** me those hounds are big, didnt catch anything by the way

In reality, they hardly ever did. The most ineffective way of pest control ever devised - poor results, imbalance of resources for the desired outcome. It was always more about spectacle rather than results. More effective to pop round with traps and guns, to be honest, but that was not a solution that the class warriors particularly felt like campaigning against. We used snares and .22 rifles when I was living at home - it's a job, not a sport.

Fox hunting is wrong upper class wankers more money than sense, and it would do nothing for your problem.Fight to save what is left of the country side give them a home, and clean the shit off the streets.Evolution takes abit longer than that foxes are good but not that good, try blameing us before you blame the fox,it is just trying to surive it a very hard world.
