Why can't we have this in the north stand every home game aswell, we need more of an atmosphere and more colour !

agree with you 100% , the best place to start is away games .

I do!! Every game, never takes off though on account no one ever brings their bloody scarves. Those that do, don't even raise them Anfield-style, for WE ARE BRIGHTON anymore! And it's against the law NOT to do this for that song. Always has been. But successful prosecutions have tailored off since the 80's and 90's when people had more respect. So people think they don't have to do it any longer. It's so blatant disrespect for the law it's become the norm now.

About time they started throwing fans out for not flying their colours at the appropriate time/song. I blame the NSK and Ultras...

So people agree then? We need to decorate our stands in Albion colours! From scarves, flags, balloons, banners the lot! Not for just the one game but for the lot!

Living in the real world.
As we will be taking a bumper crowd down to st marys (as usual) , how about if everyone brings a scarf to wave .

I think everyone will agree we really need to show that we are behind Gus 100% and waving our scarfs around while singing 'Gus poyets blue and white army' for 10+ minutes would be a great way to show our support for him .

Would be some spectacle to see 3000+ spinning blue and white scarfs high in the air whilst singing at the top of our voices .

just an idea , thoughts ?

Even if the scarf's didn't happen, singing 'Gus Poyet's blue and white army for 10mins would sound immense!

I love the passion that you feel coming from the Kop (Liverpool) when they just hold their scarf up and sing. No waving it around just one pure statement of support. Imagine that in blue and white at The Dell, or St Margerates or whatever it's called. Let's rock the place to the ground.

This souds ridiculous.

Although I can't wait for the thread that comes up on here afterwards about how arrogant southampton fans are with our songs.

3 stands singing "we're top of the league, We're top of the league, We are Southampton, We're top of the league", plus other songs of that ilk.

What other songs though. I watched the Reading game on TV and that is basically your only song, other than the slow one which is nicked off Spurs.

These threads are brilliant.

We have one every week. We're going to do such and such and such and such and it's going to be brilliant. Cue 50 replies (allot of them from the same person) saying what a great idea it is then in reality we don't start the game that well and the atmosphere is dead as a dodo.

I blame the "Ultras"!

We're coming for you, you dirty skate bastards, we're coming for you
We're taking the piss, we are southampton, we're taking the piss

The slow one we nicked off spurs, hardly. We were doing it in the Itchen corner 10 years ago, only caught on in the last couple of years with the Northam and Kingsland.
