Brighton, already promoted from League One, were confirmed as champions courtesy of a 3-1 win at Walsall.

Thats it. Thats all it says. Pathetic.

If you haven't gathered by now, I was being sarcastic with the thread title.

At least the Southampton Echo covered the historic day properly ...

It’s as you were in the race for second as Huddersfield and Peterborough both also won meaning Saints stay behind Brighton, who were crowned champions, but ahead of the Terriers on goal difference and Posh by three points with a game in hand.

What is this OBSESSION with Peterborough all about?

Who cares, let's be honest, we wouldn't care if it was any other team pissing this division. We were already promoted before yesterday : frankly I was surprised the FL Show gave us any coverage beyond the normal last night.

Why worry? Sit back, enjoy the party, plan the celebrations for the remaining games, and enjoy the fact that all the lesser teams like SCC, Huddersfield and Peterborough are still engaged in an undignified bunfight for SECOND, crapping themselves over every kick, goal and decision :D

agreed it is a bit of a piss take and it would be nice to get a big piece in one of the national papers for the publicity but at the end of the day we have only won league 1 ...

We will get a bit more coverage next year now we are back in the Championship. However the reality is that these days, unless you are in the Premiership and/or are owned by some loaded Russian gangster, Thai drug-runner. American asset stripper or Italian prostitute frequenter; you don't get a look in. Even the so called 'quality' broadsheets have mostly succumbed these days. The Times is little more than an advert for Sky Sports.
